The South African Weather Service (SAWS) has issued multiple weather warnings for the Western Cape from Sunday, 10 May 2026 to Tuesday, 12 May 2026, as two cold fronts are expected to impact the province.

The Overstrand area falls under an Orange Level 6 Warning for disruptive rainfall and waves, with neighbouring municipalities also affected by Orange Level 8 and Yellow Level 2 warnings. A 3-day rainfall accumulation of 70–140 mm is likely, with wave heights expected to reach 6.5–7.5 m, especially on Monday.
